Regarding the raising minimum wage issue.

Bosses and corporations fear that raising wages will lead to their impoverishment; but no instance of this occurring has been reported.

A much more likely scenario dictates that modestly increased wages attract more potential employees so the employer has a pool of potential workers who are more ambitious, better motivated, smarter and so on.

A better quality worker almost invariably earns more money for the corporation and the employer enjoys increased income far exceeding the increase in wages paid out. It's a win-win situation for labour situations where the employer is willing to take some small risks.

And isn't risk-taking exactly what capitalism is all about?
