Re: 'Plenty to be proud of: councillor,' Letter, Aug. 15.
So Ward 43 (Scarborough East) Councillor Paul Ainslie said we should be proud of Scarborough. He cites two locations to emphasize why we should be proud to be a part of Scarborough.
Should we be proud of the weeds growing everywhere on public and city property, between the cracks in the sidewalks, on city boulevards on school property?
Should we be proud of the state of disrepair of city buildings? Should we be proud of graffiti on city and private property? Should we be proud of the garbage littering our streets?
Before Ainslie tells us again what we should be proud of, he should take his blinders off when travelling to the two locations he is proud of and clean up the mess his city council has created with their fees for garbage, restrictions on using weed killers and so on.
