Four injured in doughnut shop shooting
A male suspect armed with a long barreled shotgun was seen to approach and fire several shots into the window of the Country Style Donuts at 1735 Kipling Ave. at 1:11 a.m. Saturday morning.
According to police, the four victims, all reported to be in their late teens or early twenties, sustained non-life threatening gun shot wounds and were treated at area hospitals. Police added that it appeared the victims were the intended targets, but no motive has been established in the shooting.
Several people were observed fleeing the area. Police are seeking any possible witnesses who were present in the area at the time and may have observed the incident or any other suspicious activity to come forward. The suspect(s) and the firearm are still outstanding.
The suspect is described as black, five-foot-five to five-foot-eight, wearing a blue bandana, black jacket, dark baseball cap and dark pants.
