Three face charges in theft of puppy
Assault charges laid in connection with incident
Three people are facing charges in connection with an assault on a man and the theft of a dog belonging to him in the Victoria Park and Danforth avenues area of East York.Police allege that on June 22 the victim, who sells Yorkshire terriers, met with two people to discuss the sale of a two-month-old puppy. While the meeting was taking place, the victim was assaulted by a third person and the puppy was handed to a person on a bicycle, police alleged.
On Thursday, July 17, police searched an address in the Birchmount Road and Finch Avenue area of Scarborough where the stolen dog was recovered. Two people were arrested as a result of the search. A third person was arrested Friday, July 18.
Justin Robinson, 18, and two 16 year olds who cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act are charged with assault causing bodily harm, robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.
